The Spring has arrived, and so has My Series TV. It's been a lengthy development process, but the wait has been worth it! At many times, we became impatient at how long the site was taking to reach completion, but we wanted to get things done right before launching. We were prepared to launch in 2007, but delayed for over two years as we continued our development of new technologies and systems. Frustrating, to be to sure, but necessary. One of the principal distinctions we wish to emphasize for My Series TV, is that we are NOT another YouTubeâ„¢. We love YouTubeâ„¢, but we are most definitely a unique site. YouTubeâ„¢ is amazing, but it is primarily a venue for amateur content creators to release short clips, without being paid for their work. My Series TV distinguishes itself by soliciting only professional-grade content. Moreover, our website is not an unorganized site with an endless supply of disparate content providers. Instead, My Series TV operates on a renewing schedule with a mixture of episodic content and feature films (and shorts). As our name implies, we are a TV Network for the Web! My Series TV welcomes any, and all, video content... but it must be of a professional quality. There is a great 'wealth' of creative producers and directors on the planet, most of whom never have the opportunity see their talent recognized and broadcast. It is for these independent professionals (and serious amateurs) that My Series TV was created. This was, in fact, the impetus for the site to begin with: - To offer a venue for film-makers to easily showcase their works to the world, without having to go 'begging' at some television executive's door, or wait endless for a distribution deal.
- To pay producers for their productions so that they can continue to develop and express their talents.
- To offer real-world ratings, statistics and feedback for their shows from large, diverse, audiences.
- To help film-makers sell their products elsewhere, and/or be 'picked up' by mainstream broadcasters and distributors.
